Who May Join LAVP
Anyone who is presently working in professional video production or a related profession, either full time or part time. Members must subscribe to a code of ethics and abide by the association's by-laws.
How To Join LAVP
You can download a membership form by clicking here or you can contact LAVP's treasurer, Ms. Carolyn Braud at 225-647-8288 or by email cvcvideo@eatel.net. She will reply with a membership form. First year dues are $60 and renewals are $45. In addition to the meetings, there is a summer BBQ social and a Christmas Party.

* Associate with leading firms and individuals in Louisiana who are presently in the vanguard of the video production profession. The Louisiana Association of Video Professionals is a non-profit organization, as well as a non-competitive, neutral site for continuing education and free exchange of ideas regarding both the technical and business sides of video production.
* Gain expertise while sharing your knowledge of video acquisition and artistic production techniques with those actively involved in producing corporate/industrial, legal/forensic, wedding/event, sports and commercial advertising video for television, cable access, the Internet/Intranet and large and small-scale sales, training and educational presentations of every description.

Members use a variety of dedicated and computer-based editing and compositing systems along with the latest digital video cameras and accessories to produce work that is demonstrated and explained at nearly every meeting.
* Network with members who operate their own, independent and successful video production studios and who are willing to share their video success methods with you.
* It's OK to ask stupid questions. At LAVP, we think the only stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked.
* There's a ton of information out there relating to video production. You need the many sets of eyes and collective brain power of dedicated individuals who are out there every day, soaking up these data and filtering it for each other. Why go it alone? Help is right here.
